Flambards Village and Aero Park Adventure park.  8k   Mainly for children, Featuring old aeroplanes, shops and exciting rides    
Roskilly's Farm  A working farm. Makes delicious ice-cream and fudge. Watch it being made. Good home made food  in café.    
  Pleasant walks around farm. B44 lakes      
St Michael's Mount  25k . An ancient monastery. An imposing castle-like building on an island, accessible by foot only at low tide, by ferry at other times.
Lands End 40k The most south Westerly point in UK. Very dramatic cliffs.Can see Scilly Isles on a clear day. There is a modern    
   information/entertainment centre      
Poldark Mine 15k. Genuine old Tin mine, renamed after popular TV series  called "Poldark". Features a ride in an underground in old mine railway..  
  Can be very damp.        
Gweek Seal Sanctuary 10k  rescue centre for injured seals, where they are nursed and restored to health before being released back into the wild   
  The number of seals present varies      
Maritime Museum Falmouth 28k Recently opened museum. Very well set out with good exhibits and audio/visual displays. Contains many famous old  
  boats. Need at least two hours to see everything.Interactive model boat sailing pool for children.    
  Good café with terrific views over views over the harbour, which is the 3rd biggest natural harbour in the world.    
  Start and finish for Ellen McArthur's recent record breaking solo round the world race.    
Eden Project 60K. Amazing conversion of old china clay pit.into " Green " centre. 3 Bio-domes ( very large greenhouses ) set into an area the size of  
  30 football picthes. Each dome houses plant from a particular climatic zone, E.G. Tropical, Desert and European.  
  Needs at least 3 hours to see.        
  Very lengthy queuing at peak times. Best to go at around mid-day or after mid afternoon    
Lost Gardens of Heligan 50k Old Gardens left to go wild for 70 years. Recently  uncovered and restored. Good examples of early victorian    
  irrigation and heating systems.        
           
           
           
  BOAT     TRIPS        
           
Mullion Cove  Sea Fishing trips can be arraged from Mullion cove which is about 2k walk from the hotel or about 5 minutes by car.    
           
Falmouth  All sorts of Fishing trips from harbour fishing to deep sea fishing  and shark fishing. Also, trips around the harbour and nearby coastline.  
  Ferry to Trelisick gardens and St Mawes.      
           
Porthleven  Sea fishing from small boats.        
           
           
  TOWNS TO VISIT        
           
Helston Ancient town close to Mullion. Reasonable shopping. Very steep main street. Typical old Cornish buildings    
  Not a lot to see. Visit Bonython House and gardens.      
           
Falmouth Largest town in Cornwall. Second largest natural harbour in the world. Deep water port. Can take the largest    
  ships. Lots to do and see.  Visit the Maritime museum. Take boat trips. Hire boats. Good, safe beaches.. .    
  Two 16th century castles, one each side of harbour entrance.Take ferry to St Mawes to view second castle.    
  Visit Trebah and Glendurgan gardens      
           
St Mawes  Village on far side of Falmouth harbour. Can be reached by ferry from falmouth or by car via Truro or by crossing    
  Truro river by small chain driven car ferry.      
Penzance  Large town 30k  to west of Mullion. Ancient port. Close to St Michael's Mount.Helipoirt for visits to Scilly Isles.    
           
Mousehole 25k  ( pronunced mowzawl ) Small pretty village.and harbour.      
           
Truro   Capital city of Cornwall. Large modern cathedral. Best shopping in county.      
           
Porthleven  10k Small fishing village. Good for short visit. Good eating places. Good cliff walks. Very dramatic seas in rough weather.    
           
Coverack 6k Small fishing port. Good beach at low tide, quite small at high tide. Very pretty.
